There are many myths surrounding hypnosis and the perceived "mind control" that a hypnotherapist has. Of course there is no mind control, no-one can be made to do anything that contradicts any moral, religious, spiritual or ethical beliefs that they hold. This is the biggest myth of all.

I stumbled across this article on the Russian Pravda website which was posted in 2005 but some of the statements could be from 50 years ago. Have a read of the article and see if you can tell the difference between fact and fiction.

Hypnotherapy has a long way to go to get the recognition that it truly deserves because there is a massive divide at present between the study of hypnotherapy (science) and the application of it (art). There is also a long way to go in terms of educating the public and conventional medical professionals about what can and can't be done by a hypnotist, or more importantly, by the client.

But, life goes on, and if anyone wants me to do a TV broadcast like Pavel's..........

Be happy,

Dave.
