Most people have sought the answer to this question virtually every day of their lives. You only have to look in your local bookshop to see the vast array of self-help books on offer.

I maintain that simply by loving and accepting ourselves, recognising the difference between the things we can change and those we can't and by taking responsibility for our own thoughts, actions and feelings, we can create a rapid and profound change in our levels of happiness.

Sometimes things seem more complicated than they are and some people even try to make things more complicated. Happiness is something we can all experience when we allow ourselves to.

What is the secret? You know it already, it's commonsense, it's not some newly discovered technique or routine. Jack LaLanne was on the TV in the USA from the 1950's and is clearly a man who was way ahead of his time in this clip.
