It is always good to ponder about our lives and what we want to make of them. It's also good to set goals and see/sense ourselves as we want to be. It's good to write down a list of objectives, short, medium and long term.

But it is not so good to spend too much time thinking or deciding about what we want to be, what we want to do or what we want to become. Sometimes we can be drawn in to thinking about the future rather than actually doing the things to better ourselves and our lives.

Consider someone who decides to enjoy a two week retreat in a beautiful, scenic, peaceful environment to spend time thinking about their life and how they want to change it.

Consider someone who spends ten minutes thinking about the future and then spends the next 13 days, 23 hours and 50 minutes actually doing the things to make the changes happen.

Both had two weeks. Very different results.

Generally, the people who live their lives with more peace of mind, more happiness, more health and more wealth tend to be the people who of course set goals but they spend as little time as possible in the "I'll think about it" or "I don't know" or "One day soon" mindset because they quickly work out what they want from life, decide to take action, and then do the actions to bring about positive change.

Making a decision quickly can be a very, very powerful and helpful tool to improving your life, as long as you actually do the things that you decided to do.

We all have 24 hours in our day. How we use them is what matters.

Have a great week and be happy,

Dave.
