"A journey of one thousand miles begins with a single step." That first step is the most important one because without it, you're not going to get anywhere. By taking those individual steps you get towards, and finally reach, your destination.
Another thing to remember is that time passes anyway. Whether you sit still talking about what "one day" you will do or you give yourself excuses why "it's not the right time" at the moment or you simply say that you haven't got the time (there are 60 seconds in one of my minutes and 60 minutes in one of my hours - how many in yours?), time will pass anyway.
When I first came up with the idea of doing a blog I didn't really know if it would be seen by anyone, let alone read, or if it would be of benefit to me and the people that read it in some way (I'm now getting nearly 10,000 unique visitors a month).
Well, I took that first step and this is the 200th post. I've taken the time to write things and know from people that I see, and the occasional comments, that it is read, and sometimes enjoyed, and I get a feeling of satisfaction just by spreading the word that hypnotherapy is not all flashing lights, pocket watches and people clucking like chickens.
Take that first step, then take some more, because time will pass whether you do or you don't.
Please feel free to leave a comment, you can do so anonymously if you wish, so that I know how some of you 10,000 or so are enjoying it!
Be happy,
Dave Sabat.
